6. Committee Minutes: To receive and where appropriate, consider the recommendations of the:
- Planning Committee (6 January 2025): There were no recommendations for Council.
- Finance, Governance & Estates Committee (16 January 2025) There were no recommendations for Council.
7. Final Council Budget 2025/26: To agree the final Parish Council budget requirements for 2025/26 as provisionally agreed at the 12 December 2024 Council meeting (Minute Ref: C24/25.111: Draft Council Budget 2025/26).
RECOMMENDATION: That the Council AGREES the final Parish Council budget requirements for 2025/26 as income of £110,591, expenditure of £442,452 and a precept required to balance the budget of £331,861. Based on the tax base figure of 3350.6 this equates to a Band D (Precept) Council Tax payment of £99.05 (an increase of 3.95% on the 2024/25 figure of £95.28).
8. Pavement Bollards in High Street: To consider a request from a resident for the installation of bollards outside 102 High Street, Hurstpierpoint where drivers mount and/or park on the pavement, and agree to submit a Traffic Regulation Order to West Sussex County Council.
9. Biffa Recycling Centre Visit: To consider whether to arrange a group visit for councillors to the material recycling centre in Ford, near Arundel.
10. Reports from Representatives on Outside Bodies: To receive reports from representative on outside bodies.
11. To note any information items, correspondence received or requests.
11.1 West Sussex Road Safety Strategy: West Sussex County Council is currently consulting on a new West Sussex Road Safety Strategy, previously circulated, with a deadline of 2 February 2025.
11.2 Draft Transport Strategy for the SE: Transport for the South East is currently consulting on a draft Transport Strategy, previously circulated, with a deadline of 7 March 2025.
11.3 Parish Strategy: To receive a verbal update on the development of the Parish Strategy.
11.4 MSDC Parking Strategy: To receive a verbal update on the consultation the Parish Council is undertaking concerning the introduction of parking charges in MSDC’s Trinity Road and Brown Twins Car Parks.
Members are asked to RESOLVE that in view of the confidential nature of the following items, the press and public be excluded under section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960.
Confidential Matters:
- Methodist Church Update: To receive a verbal update on the sale of the Methodist Church at 42 Cuckfield Road, Hurstpierpoint.
