Members are summoned to attend the Community Engagement Committee meeting to be held on Thursday 11 September 2025 at 7.30pm at Hurstpierpoint Village Centre. Members of the public have a right to and are invited to attend the meeting.

1.         Apologies for Absence: To receive and accept apologies for absence.

2.        Declarations of interest: To receive and record any declarations of interest.

3.         Minutes of the Previous Meeting of the Community Engagement Committee: To receive and adopt the minutes of the 12th June 2025 Community Engagement Committee meeting.

4.         Adjournment for Questions from the Public: To consider adjourning the meeting to receive questions from members of the public in accordance with Standing Orders.

5.         Review of Action Plan: To review, agree and update Version 2 of the 2025/2026 Action Plan.

6          Budget Monitoring:          

6.1.     To review the Budget Monitoring Report for the Committee including:

a) The Nominal Ledger (year to Date)

b) Detailed Income & Expenditure at 31 August 2025.

7.1.     New Small Grant Applications to be considered 2025/26:

8.    Review of Media and Communications Policy: To review the proposed updates to the Media and Communications Policy and supporting Appendix.

                RECOMMENDATION: That the Committee recommends the draft Media & Communications Policy and                 Appendix A for adoption by Council.

9.  Review of St Lawrence Fair: To note the feedback from the St Lawrence Fair stall.

10.    Information Items, Correspondence Received and Requests:

10.1  High Street Update: To receive averbal update from Cllr Bedford and Cllr Thompson.

10.2  Parish Council Events: To note date of Community Forum as 4th November 12:30 – 14:30 at Court Bushes   Community Hub and for the Hurstpierpoint Orchard Wassail as 17th January 2026.

10.3  Youth Project Update: To receive a verbal update from the meeting held on 11th September with the Youth Worker from Holy Trinity Church.

10.4    External Communication: To receive a verbal update on communication from Cllr Majsai, including updates to the “report an issue” page of the Parish Council website.
