Members are summoned to attend the Community Engagement Committee meeting to be held on Thursday 13th June 2024 at 7.30pm at Hurstpierpoint Village Centre. Members of the public have a right to and are invited to attend the meeting.

5.         Minutes of the Previous Meeting of the Community Engagement Committee: To receive and adopt the minutes of the 11 April 2024 Community Engagement Committee meeting.

6.         Adjournment for Questions from the Public: To consider adjourning the meeting to receive questions from members of the public in accordance with Standing Orders.

7.         Review of Action Plan: To agree and update Version 1 of the 2024/25 Action plan, including updates from local Forums attended by the Chair and on dementia and youth services.

11.       Events Working Group update: Notes from the Events Working Group Meeting on 23rd May 2024reviewing this year’s APM and possible themes for 2025, and the St Lawrence Fair.

12.      Information Items, Correspondence Received and Requests:

12.1    Parish Strategy Working Group: To receive a verbal update from Cllr Froud regarding the Parish Strategy Working Group meeting on 10th June. (Document to follow)

12.2   Request for a Christmas Tree in Sayers Common: To note that an application came in for a Christmas “Tree” in Sayers Common and discuss next steps. 

12.3    Sayers Common Tea Parties: To note that, following the grant awarded in 2023/2024 to MSOPC for tea parties in Sayers Common, the first of these will take place on 5th July in the Sayers Common Village Hall.

12.4    High Street Update: To receive averbal update from Cllr Bedford and Cllr Thompson

12.5    Communications Update: To receive a verbal update from Cllr Majsai on communication, including recent training attended by Cllr Majsai and Assistant Clerk Aloy.
