Members are summoned to attend the Community Engagement Committee meeting to be held on Thursday 3rd April 2025 at 7.30pm at Hurstpierpoint Village Centre. Members of the public have a right to and are invited to attend the meeting.

8. VE Day 8th May 2025: To discuss displaying the jubilee bunting in the High Street for 80th Anniversary
of VE Day this year. Previously this has been done for us by the St Lawrence Fair at an approximate cost of £250. If agreed this would be funded from the Parish Council Events budget
RECOMMENDATION: That Committee AGREE for the bunting to be displayed in the High
Street for VE day.
9. Reeds Lane Recreation Ground Phase 2: To review and agree the timeline and proposed structure for the
consultation on the new play equipment
RECOMMENDATION: That Committee AGREE to the proposed consultation structure and timeline
10 Information Items, Correspondence Received and Requests:
10.1. High Street Update: To receive averbal update from Cllr Bedford and Cllr Thompson.
10.2. Hurst Shopping Bags: A Member of the public has requested another order of “Shop Local, Shop Hurst” bags to be sold by traders and in the charity shop as the village has run out. Please see document for approximate cost and designs.
10.3. External Communication: To receive a verbal update on communication from Cllr Majsai including update from the Communications Strategy Working Group held on 3.4.2025
