Please be advised London Road, Sayers Common is due to undergo construction of a pedestrian dropped crossing point. No waiting restrictions are also due to be installed on Reeds Lane to protect its junction with London Road and providing better give/take opportunities for drivers on both approaches.
A footway widening is also due to be constructed on the High Street, Hurstpierpoint by the existing priority buildout near the Pharmacy, to promote driver lane discipline and improve safety. The schemes aim will also include revising and introducing new restrictions and signs. These are to improve visibility and access ensuring restrictions are more in keeping with public movements on the High Street, Brighton Road, Cuckfield Road and South Avenue.
Please note that these works are weather dependant and may be cancelled at short notice, but we will endeavour to inform you should there be significant changes to the programme.
