The first part of the Parish Council’s public open space has now been acquired and
work has begun installing access gates and paths. Nine acres of meadow land
north of Highfield Drive in Hurstpierpoint will soon be open for the enjoyment of
residents. The Parkland Advisory Board is overseeing its management, to ensure
that there is a good balance between public access and conservation of wildlife. A
further forty or so acres of meadow and woodland will follow in the next few
months.
