The draft Mid Sussex District Plan (2021 to 2040) is currently being examined by a government-appointed Planning Inspector.
As part of the examination, the Inspector is currently consulting on some proposed changes to the Plan. The changes mean that the proposed housing numbers for Hurstpierpoint, Sayers Common and Albourne will increase to nearly 6,000 new homes over the life of the Plan.
The consultation closes at midnight on Monday 7th September 2026 and the Parish Council encourages everyone to submit their comments. The Parish Council’s draft response and appendices are included below.
