Parish Council response to the National Planning Policy Framework – Government Review

March 6, 2023

The Government Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities recently asked for views on how they might improve national planning policy.  The Parish Council responded to some of the 57 consultation questions that we felt most affected the parish.  We stressed the need to: reduce the number of new homes planned for our area, maintain agricultural land and strategic gaps between our towns and villages, provide more affordable rented accommodation, protect nature and incorporate the design of green energy solutions into new homes.
