10. Nupur Indian Restaurant, 122 High Street, Hurstpierpoint. DM/25/2155 Proposed new 2no bedroom dwelling to the rear of 122 High Street. Revised plans and SUDS Drainage Report received 12.03.2025.
RECOMMENDATION: If MSDC is minded to grant permission for the property, the applicant must contact the Parish Council to discuss arrangements for financial contributions relating to access via South Lane, which is a privately owned road.
Furthermore, the recently resurfaced private access road must not be damaged by construction traffic. Should any damage occur, the applicant will be responsible for covering the full cost of repairs, restoring the road to its current condition.
11. 43 Nursery Close, Hurstpierpoint. DM/26/0659 Removal of existing conservatory, to be replaced with a single storey rear extension.
RECOMMENDATION: The committee recommends that MSDC grant permission
12. Hurstpierpoint College, College Lane, Hurstpierpoint. DM/26/0692 Replacement of existing floodlights to the West Astro sports pitch with 18 LED floodlights mounted on the existing columns, together with associated electrical and control gear works. No change of use.
RECOMMENDATION: The committee are in favour for the lighting to be upgraded to environmental friendly, energy efficient lighting and whenever the lighting is updated, it should always reduce the overall glare and light spill from the site. The committee are pleased to see that this has been addressed in this application.
13. New Bury Theatre, Hurstpierpoint College, College Lane, Hurstpierpoint. DM/26/0680 Installation of roof mounted solar photovoltaic panels to the southern pitched roofs of the Music School and Performing Arts Centre, together with solar photovoltaic panels to the eastern part of the flat roof of the Performing Arts Centre and associated ancillary works.
RECOMMENDATION: The committee recommends that MSDC grant permission
14. Hurstpierpoint College, College Lane, Hurstpierpoint. DM/26/0708 Refurbishment of the existing Sports Hall roof, installation of new TATA Trisomet 120mm insulated composite roof panels; installation of roof-mounted photovoltaic panels; and a minor localised alteration to the eastern roof slope to remove the existing internal valley and form a simple gable end, with the roof plane raised by approximately 150mm.
