DRAFT MINUTES of the meeting of the Planning Committee, that would have been held Thursday 4th June 2020 at 8.00 pm in the Village Centre, Trinity Road, Hurstpierpoint. Due to the Coronavirus the Committee was asked to submit comments via email or telephone to the Chairman by 4pm on Tuesday 2nd June 2020 for consideration and onward submission to Mid Sussex District Council/SDNPA.
P&E20/21.001 Apologies for absence and declarations of interest: Due to the Coronavirus the meeting was not held in person. The following declarations were made:

P&E20/21.002 Minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 7th May 2020: Due to the Coronavirus the previous minutes were not reviewed and will now be considered at the next meeting of the Committee and if agreed will be signed by the Chairman at the next available opportunity.
P&E20/21.003 Matters arising from the meeting of the Planning Committee held on 7th May 2020: There were no matters arising.

(3) Moonshine Meadows Land At Grid Reference 528715 121501 Cuckfield Road Ansty West Sussex. DM/20/1277. To create a crossover from the public highway to access a privately owned meadow. Construction of French drainage system, and further construction of a wooden crossover over the ditch to allow access/passage of light agricultural vehicles.
RECOMMENDATION: Permission is granted. Subject to clarification of ownership, Highways Authority and Drainage Officer consent.

RECOMMENDATION: Permission is granted

P&E20/21.008 – Street Naming Proposal – The committee is asked to consider a request from a resident to rename the twitten that runs between the Health Centre and the High Street – Nelsons Walk, in memory of Ian Nelson. A prominent resident of Hurstpierpoint who recently passed away.
RESOLVED: The committee support the residents’ suggestion that the twitten running between the Health Centre and the High Street be named after Ian Nelson. However, the majority of members are of the view that Ian Nelson Walk was preferable to Nelsons Walk.
