P16/046. Minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 6 October 2016: The Minutes were received and accepted by the Committee and signed by the Chairman.
P16/047. Matters arising from the Meeting of the Planning Committee held on 6 October 2016:
(1) Minute P16/043: Street naming – Little Park Farm: The Committee proposed the use of just the surnames of the list prepared by Cllr David Evans. The developer accepted the suggestions. MSDC sent an email confirming the assignment of the names (Ref: MSDC email 12 October 2016 – New Development Little Park).
P16/048. Adjournment for questions from the public: There being no members of the public present the Committee was not required to adjourn the meeting in accordance with Clause 1 (d) of Standing orders.

Trim all necessary branches within group TPO A1 to clear power cables, telephone cables and outbuildings by one metre.

P16/050.4. Alders Farm, Brighton Road, Hurstpierpoint (DM/16/4199) Proposed retention of existing temporary dwelling for a further temporary period at Alders Farm, for the use in the proper running of the farm. RECOMMENDATION: Refusal – Appropriate agricultural use not demonstrated. Does not conform to Local Plan Policy C1 and C10. The Parish Council supports all the objections made by both Hurstpierpoint Society and South Downs Society.
The Parish Council request that the temporary dwelling is dismantled and the site is cleared and restored.

Land Parcel at 529078 121294, Cuckfield Road, Ansty (DM/16/4341) Buried high voltage grid connection cable for 5MW solar farm approved under planning reference DM/15/1518, connecting the solar farm to its point of connection to the National Grid on the highway verge of the A2300 north west of the roundabout with the A273 Burgess Hill ring road.
RECOMMENDATION: Permission is granted.

P16/052. Information Items: The Committee was asked to note the following and comment were required:
- (1) South Downs National Park Authority – Planning protocol: The current arrangement between MSDC and SDNPA for handling planning applications ends in March 2017. MSDC have advised that they do not intend to renew the arrangement and that future applications in the National Park will be processed solely by the SDNPA. There will be a minor impact on the work of the Parish Office as the SDNPA system is wholly digital and no paper drawings are issued.

- (2) Conservation Area: An update was given by Councillor John Lowman. The conservation officer at MSDC agreed to all the amendments of the draft re-appraisal document, it will be rewritten and a second draft will be sent, in due course, for the Parish Councils approval. This will also be considered by the Cabinet at MSDC. A date has been set for the Public Consultation period from the 22nd April 2017.
