The application was omitted from the notification listing and cannot be listed for our February meeting due to time constraints –

P&E20/21.070 Planning applications – Committee decision: The Committee considered the following and made RECOMMENDATIONS to the Planning authority:

Construction of an extension to the side and rear elevation, encompassing the existing garaging, to provide additional habitable accommodation at ground and first floor levels. Construction of an orangery to the rear elevation. Formation of dormers on the rear elevation to serve the existing second floor accommodation. Installation of an external swimming pool with associated plant building, along with hard and soft landscaping works.
RECOMMENDATION: Unable to make recommendation. New plans submitted on 7th January 2021, application to be re-advertised.

RECOMMENDATION: Refusal – Inappropriate location for the bin store, anti-social towards other occupants

RECOMMENDATION: Permission is granted.
(9) Hautboyes New Way Lane Hurstpierpoint BN6 9BD. SDNP/20/05320/FUL. Tractor shed as an extension to existing building
RECOMMENDATION: Permission is granted – subject to WSCC Rights of Way concerns being addressed.
(10) Plot 2, Land South Of A2300 Cuckfield Road Goddards Green West Sussex. DM/20/4546. Application for approval of reserved matters of landscape, appearance, layout and scale, to provide flexible employment units across use class B1c, B2 and B8 at Plot 2, pursuant to permission DM/19/2641.
RECOMMENDATION: Refusal – The ancient hedgerow that previously existed has been removed and minimal landscaping and tree screening is now proposed.
This will result in a negative visual impact that doesn’t respond to the more rural location of Cuckfield Road. DP 26 . It would also result in a substantial reduction to the ecological value of the site.

RECOMMENDATION: Permission is granted
(12) 136 Cuckfield Road Hurstpierpoint Hassocks West Sussex BN6 9SD. DM/20/4517. Proposed rear first floor extension over existing ground floor extension. The first floor is proposed to have a flat roof with a pitched roof border.
RECOMMENDATION: Permission is granted. The committee note with disappointment the inclusion of a flat roof.

RECOMMENDATION: Permission is granted. The Parish Council appreciate the applicant’s intentions to plant wildflowers and climbers along the fencing to enhance the surrounding area and public footpath.
