The Parish Council are very pleased to announce that the ‘Safe Place’ project is live in Hurstpierpoint and Sayers Common. The ‘Safe Place’ project has been created to ensure that people living with dementia feel understood and able to maintain their independence and lead fulfilling lives in their local community.
We would like to thank the below organisations that have agreed to be part of the ‘Safe Place’ project and attended training yesterday:
Health Centre, Sayers Common Community Shop, Library, The Melting Pot Café, Charlotte Grace Casuals and Sussex Osteopath.
If you notice a member of the public looking destressed or lost please look for the flower symbol as shown in the image and these are the ‘Safe Place’ locations for the parish.
If you are a High Street shop and would like to be involved with this project by either becoming a ‘Safe Place’ by attending training or being a shop who can signpost members of the public to a ‘Safe Place’ location please do contact the Parish Office.
