Stay up to date with the Parish Council – 1st March 2021

The Parish Council needs to fill a casual vacancy brought about by the resignation of Stephen Hand on 28 February.  Stephen is thanked for his massive contribution to the development of the Parish Council, including his Chairmanship of five years up until May 2020.  A notice has been posted which explains that ten or more electors can call a by-election, otherwise the position will be filled by co-option. Last week the Hurstpierpoint Village Centre Trustees (made up of the Parish Council) held a meeting at 6.30pm to set next year’s budget for the venue.  For more information please email: 

Last week, the South Avenue Cemetery Chapel and Pit Road and Trinity Road public toilets had building surveys undertaken by the Parish Council to allow us to budget for any improvements required. For more information please email: for further information.

This week the statute of children through the ages on the Village Garden, to commemorate 800 years of the St Lawrence Fair is being refurbished by the Parish Council.
