AGENDA
  1. Apologies for absence: To receive and accept apologies for absence.
  • Declarations of interest: To receive and record declarations of interest.
  • Minutes of the Previous Meeting of the Council: To receive and adopt the minutes of the 22 May 2025 Annual Council Meeting.
  • Adjournment for Questions from the Public: To consider adjourning the meeting to receive questions from members of the public in accordance with Standing Orders.

6.        Committee Minutes: To receive and where appropriate, consider the recommendations of the:

  • Planning Committee (2 June 2025): There were no recommendations for Council. 
  • Community Engagement Committee (12 June 2025):  There was one recommendations for Council: 

CE25/26.009.     RESOLVED: That the Committee RECOMMENDS to Council that the 2026 Annual Parish Meeting be held as a smaller, simpler event that meets the legal requirements, but adopts a more informal, open forum or round-table format, to encourage forward-looking discussion between electors and councillors.

  • Finance, Governance & Estates Committee (19 June 2025) There were no recommendations for Council.

RECOMMENDATION:  That the Council RECEIVES the minutes of the following Committees and AGREES the above recommendations:

  1. Planning Committee (2 June 2025)
  2. Community Engagement Committee (12 June 2025)
  3. Finance, Governance & Estates Committee (19 June 2025)
  • Casual Vacancy:  To consider a timetable to co-opt a councillor to fill the current vacancy.  To note that an official ‘Notice of Vacancies’ was displayed until 1 May 2025 to permit ten or more electors to call for a by-election. No such call was made, so it is proposed that the co-option advert is displayed from 30 June 2025 to 17 September 2025, to aim to fill the vacancy the 25 September 2025 Council meeting.

8.        Sayers Common Village Sign:  To consider a request from the Sayers Common Village Society to have the village sign lettering gilded. 

9.        Hurst College Footpath Diversion Order:  To consider a request from Hurst College regarding their footpath diversion proposal.

10.      Reports from Representatives on Outside Bodies: To receive reports from representative on outside bodies.

11.      To note any information items, correspondence received or requests.

Protocol for filming and recording at public meetings:  The Council has a protocol for public filming, recording and photography at its meetings, which is available on the Council’s website or on request at the Parish Office.
